GOWRAN PARK: SHAMROCK heads to Gowran Park on Saturday for his NAP selection hoping to get some cash in the locker for Cheltenham next week.
Got the lay wrong last night – but it hardly helped the cause when the second favourite (backed from 7/1 to 3/1) was withdrawn down at the start đ
It did mean a reduction factor applied so the winner was returned around 8/13.
A big field goes to post for the opening Michael Rice And The Kilkenny City & County Vintners Maiden Hurdle at Gowran Park this afternoon and surely it’s time for Blow The Doors Off to lose his maiden tag over jumps ?
He won a bumper at Sligo last May and has since run well, without winning, in four starts over hurdles.
He came closest at Punchestown last time out when beaten a neck by Dromnea. The third horse, Bonzo Bing, won this Thursday (landing my nap at Clonmel!!).
This looks easier. Easter Hunt is a danger even though his jumping is far from perfect.
