5 OUT OF 8 NAPS: SHAMROCK landed his FIFTH WINNING NAP from the last EIGHT with Long Island South (NAP) WON 4/5 his only bet yesterday.
Another winning nap yesterday with Long Island South who got home by a neck in the Group 3 Diamond Stakes at Dundalk.
The focus switches back to the jumps on Saturday with two Graded races on the Gowran Park card.
The PWC Champion Chase brings together some useful chasers but several with something to prove too.
A case in point being the market leader Road To Riches who was third in the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival but has been let down by his jumping in his latest two starts at Punchestown where he fell two out in the Gold Cup when still in the lead and most recently at Galway where he went off favourite for the Plate but ended up being pulled up after a couple of poor mistakes.
He’s been off the course for 66 days since and at the prices today has to be a LAY in my book.
In the Grade 3 Kilbegnet Novice Chase at 4.20 Tocororo can continue her progress and make the most of her allowance. She has won her last two starts with ease although her jumping was a little erratic last time so we might be in for another white knuckle ride.
