BRAVE SHAMROCK SEES NAP REWARDED: SHAMROCK took a chance with a 10/1 NAP yesterday ABSTRACTION (WIN and PLACE) who finished third – at BETDAQ place odds that made it an overall 13/8 winner.
We got a good run for our money with big price nap Abstraction yesterday who finished third at 10/1. He was around 3.6 on the BETDAQ place market so allowing for the loss on the win part that made it the equivalent of a 13/8 winning nap. Not bad for a horse that finished third.
In the other Listed race on the card, Indian Maharaja, as predicted won. He is now two from two and remains a really exciting prospect, especially as he still seems so green and immature.
It’s back to the jumps today at Kilbeggan for their evening card which starts at 5.25pm on expected fast ground.
I’m not overkeen on napping in bumpers but am finding it hard to get away from Alton Bay in the closer at 8.25.
He ran a cracker on debut to go down by just a neck to the more experienced Sunday Serenade belying his 20/1 starting price.
We should get around 3/1 on BETDAQ today which looks a fair bet where several of the runners have already become disappointing.
