KILBEGGAN ON SATURDAY: SHAMROCK looks at the Kilbeggan card on Saturday which starts at 5.25 on expected good ground.
Very much on a recovery mission after a disastrous day yesterday.
Lucky Pat looks to have found a winning opportunity on his jumping debut in the opening maiden hurdle on the card at 5.25.
He has shown good form in bumpers, notably when second to Totally Dominant at Punchestown and most recently won a bumper at the Galway Festival in good style.
The opposition here doesn’t look the strongest but he is priced accordingly.
The mares novices hurdle at 6.00 looks more open despite there being only five runners.
Ask Vic was a little disappointing at Bellewstown last time out having won both her opening races, here at Kilbeggan in a bumper and then making a winning start over hurdles at Listowel. She’s got sound claims here but a safer proposition might be the consistent Well Tuned.
She has run well since finishing second in a similar event here last month.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Well Tuned (6.00 Kilbeggan)
NEXT BEST: Lucky Pat (5.25 Kilbeggan)
