ANOTHER WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK struck at Dundalk last night when his NAP and only bet Thames River WON 5/4.
Leopardstown stage an eight race card on Saturday on soft to heavy ground.
Feature race is the Group 3 Eyrefield Stakes at 4.15pm and the Ger Lyons trained favourite Justifier looks a worthy favourite.
As his official rating of 106 would suggest, he has already achieved the most – winning his first two starts at Leopardstown and Tipperary and then coping well with the step up in class with a fifth to Armory in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes at The Curragh and then last time out running a solid race when second to Fort Myers at Dundalk in a Listed race.
He’s proven on testing ground and should see off the challenge of the Joseph O’Brien trained Degraves who won well at Navan last time out over a mile and the extra furlong here shouldn’t cause any problems but he is stepping up in class.
