SHAMROCK’S NAP AND NEXT BEST: SHAMROCK got a good run from his nap Road To Riches (3rd 8/1) and next best On The Fringe WON 6/1 on the final day of Cheltenham yesterday.
The show has to go on and go on it does at Limerick this afternoon – on heavy ground.
We’ve been absolutely spoilt with top class action over the last four days – 12 winners for Ireland and some real stars to look forward to.
Inevitably today will feel like coming back to earth with something of a bump !!
We’re not going to get too rich with today’s nap but I can’t see defeat for Venitien De Mai in the opener at Limerick at 2.25.
The Jim Dreaper trained runner was a multiple winner between the flags and has been placed in all four of his starts over timber, going closest to success last time out at Clonmel when runner-up to the Willie Mullins trained Vedettariat.
This looks his easiest task to date and a first win under rules looks very much on the cards particularly with the news that Time Is Time is a non runner.
