TWO GRADE 3’S AT NAAS: Away from Irish interest at Cheltenham and Doncaster on Saturday, there are two good Graded races on the Naas card.
Two Grade 3 races on the Naas card today:
1:30 Limestone Lad Hurdle (Grade 3) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m, 6 runners)
Ivan Grozny is a warm favourite for this and should be able to make it four wins in a row.
He won the Grade 2 Istabraq Hurdle at Tipperary last time out in good style and will no doubt attempt to make all the running again here.
Supasundae looks the danger. He was good enough to finish sixth in the Cheltenham Champion Bumper earlier in his career and looked back in top form when winning easily at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve.
2:35 Woodlands Park 100 Club Novice Chase (Grade 3) (5yo+, Class 1, 3m, 8 runners)
A Genie In Abottle was pitched in at the deep end over hurdles contesting a Grade 1 at the Punchestown Festival but since then has shown steady improvement over fences and stayed on well to win at Fairyhouse last time out in good style. He can hopefully continue the upward progression in this better grade.
The Henry De Bromhead trained Balko Des Flos was also a Fairyhouse winner and looks the danger.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: A Genie In Abottle (2.35 Naas)
