NAPS HAT-TRICK: SHAMROCK landed a hat-trick of winning naps yesterday after he adjusted normal strategy and went for a PLACE NAP on Falcon Eight who was second in the Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes at around 2.08 on BETDAQ.
The switch to the BETDAQ place strategy worked well last night at Leopardstown when the PLACE NAP Falcon Eight finished a close second in the Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes.
We were rewarded at around 2.08 on the BETDAQ PLACE market (I’ll call it evens for the purposes of the stats) – I was concerned that the odds-on favourite Capri was still a long way short of his best form and so it proved again with him finishing out of the frame.
So it’s now three winning naps in a row:
Fri: FALCON EIGHT (PLACE NAP) WON EVENS
Thu: TOUCH OF OSCAR (NAP) WON 4/6
Wed: AUTHORIZED ART (NAP) WON 5/4
I think Barbados is worth another chance for Aidan O’Brien in the closing maiden at Navan tonight.
In anything more competitive I’d have reservations, as he was a beaten favourite at Cork last time out with no obvious excuse but this afternoon’s race looks a much easier task and the newcomers don’t make too much appeal on paper.
