FLYINGBOLT NAP: SHAMROCK’S Saturday NAP runs in the 3.58pm at Navan – the Flyingbolt Novice Chase.
Scarlet And Dove is on a recovery mission after falling when going well in a Grade 2 at Thurles last time out. He had previously jumped well when winning at Limerick so it’s hopefully no more than a blip on the CV for the Joseph O’Brien trained runner.
This is also a slightly easier Grade 3 but it does look competitive. O’Brien also saddles Sempo who so far has shown better form over the smaller obstacles but was a fair third at Punchestown last time out.
Henry de Bromhead’s Epson Do Houx was 10th in the ultra-competitive Matheson Handicap Chase at Leopardstown last month and this might prove an easier challenge.
