JUMPS ACTION ON SATURDAY: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the jumps card at Navan on Saturday which gets underway at 2.35pm.
Dessie Hughes looks to have the answer to the mares hurdle at Navan this afternoon with Icy Reply.
After disappointing when first tried over hurdles the grey filly has really started enjoying things over the obstacles and comes here on the back of two wins and a second from her last three starts.
She was a good second to Desertmore Stream at the Galway Festival and over the same two and a half mile trip as this afternoon should prove hard to beat in a race where she has plenty in hand on official ratings.
Biggest danger may come from Urtheoneiwant who convincingly beat the favourite Storm Away last time out at Ballinrobe.
At Haydock I’m going to take the possibly foolish move of place laying Sole Power.
The Eddie Lynam trained star has excelled this season but crucially over five furlongs and has never won over six furlongs. There’s not too much downside at around 2.1 on the BETDAQ place market.
