Like a lot of the recent naps they’ve been well backed close to the off. Wishyouwerehere wasn’t even trading as favourite for most of the day.
22 runners go to post for the opening maiden hurdle at Naas but as often is the case it’s easy to narrow it down very rapidly.
And in this race it’s very hard to look beyond the Willie Mullins trained favourite Ivan Grozny who had Group form on the flat in France and madef a highly encouraging debut over hurdles when second to Plinth at Leopardstown over Christmas. He was only beaten a head and should have learnt enough to go on and win this.
Biggest danger is likely to come from Sea Beat who was fourth in the Leopardstown race and not disgraced by any means.
