PUNCHESTOWN ON SATURDAY: SHAMROCK heads to Punchestown on Saturday where his best bet of the day runs in the concluding Racing Again On 3rd June Flat Race at 5.35.
Punchestown race today on good ground and there are some big fields for punters to sift through.
For me, the best bet on the card comes in the closing bumper. The Willie Mullins trained Potters Point looks set to end his sequence of seconds.
He’s finished second in all three starts (including a Point) most recently at Leopardstown behind Archive. The form of that race took a nice boost when Archive went on to finish a very creditable fifth in the Grade 2 Champion Bumper at the Aintree Festival.
The main danger looks to be Lip Service but Potters Point has already beaten this one – he was third in the Leopardstown race and has five and a half lengths to find with the selection and nap of the day.
