3/1 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK landed a 3/1 winning nap on Friday when SGT ROCK won at Dundalk. It’s now three winning naps from the last four.

Sgt Rock won in good style at Dundalk last night to land the nap at 3/1.

Three from the last four naps have now won….

Saturday: CLARCAM (NAP, WON 10/11)
Sunday: DON COSSACK (NAP, WON 13/8)
Wednesday: SOLOMON NORTHUP (NAP, 2nd)
Friday: SFT ROCK (NAP, WON 3/1)

At Cheltenham on Friday it was desperately sad to see the death of the old warrior Big Shu who collapsed from a suspected heart attack in the cross-country chase.

Peter Maher’s runner was the former winner of Festival cross-country chase and also La Touche Cup at Punchestown. Commiserations to connections.

In the opener at Tramore on Saturday I’m not sure that I want to be taking too short a price about the Willie Mullins trained Valyssa Monterg.

She had good form in French bumpers but was a little disappointing at Thurles when a well beaten third on her debut for Mullins. She takes a big drop back in trip today.

Preference is for Silver Sally who is a lot more exposed but is consistent and ran well at Thurles last time when a close second.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Silver Sally (12.10 Tramore)
