SUNDAY GROUP RACE TREATS: A great day of horse racing in the UK, France and in Ireland on Sunday where SHAMROCK nominates his NAP in the Group 3 Munster Oaks at Cork 5.15pm.
I’m heading to Cork today for a NAP in the Munster Oaks at 5.15pm.
Yaxeni is taken to get back in the winning groove for trainer Ger Lyons. After a winning debut here last year, Yaxeni proved she was up to this level when finishing third to One Voice at Leopardstown last time out in the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes where Snow finished runner-up.
Although officially another Group 3, this looks slightly easier and Yaxeni should surely improve further on just her third racecourse outing and might be able to turn around the form with Snow.
In contrast, Search For A Song is much more experienced and has won three of her six starts – including notably the Irish St Leger.
She would be a big danger but needs to bounce back from a disappointing effort at the Curragh last time out and we need to see whether the hood has a positive impact.
