A big day of racing in Ireland on Sunday on both codes.
The feature at Limerick is the 19 runner Ladbrokes Munster National Handicap Chase at 4.50 and I’m sticking with my old friend Muirfield to get a place again.
I had a place bet on him in the Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase when third at Listowel and he looks to have outstanding place claims again today.
I’m napping at the Curragh in the Staffordstown Stud Stakes (Fillies Listed) at 2.50pm.
The BETDAQ market is struggling to separate Chicago Girl and Dazzling but I prefer the chances of the latter who was hampered at the Curragh last time and worth another chance.
The Adian O’Brien trained runner was impressive when winning her debut at the Curragh and can boost the trainers already exceptional record in this race by giving him his fourth win in five years.
Chicago Girl sets a fair level of form and has now finished runner-up in her last three starts. She is a tail-swisher but it doesn’t seem to halt her progress and she is the obvious danger, although I think the selection has the more obvious chances of improving on what we’ve seen to date.
