Back to the Curragh on Sunday where I am taking Ger Lyons’ Frenetic to get the better of the Aidan O’Brien trained Mother Earth in the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes at 3.10pm.
Lyons got the better of the Aidan O’Brien quartet in the Irish Oaks yesterday when his Even So won and he might continue the form with the fillies here with the unbeaten Frenetic.
She has won both her starts to date, crucially beating Mother Earth by a length and three quarters on debut at Navan and then going on to win even more impressively here at the Curragh when breezing clear in a Listed race by five lengths.
Mother Earth has also progressed well from her debut – winning last time out at Naas – a Group 3 by four lengths but she might find Frenetic too strong again.
