Davy Russell misses today’s rides as he is still sore after a fall yesterday and could well miss a winner with The Very Man who bids to follow up his maiden hurdle success at Navan.
He won in good style beating Gold Des Bois and there was a further 17 lengths back to the third horse in a big field.
It was an overdue success and his placed form is strong too.
This is much tougher but he is taken to see off the challenge headed by Wajaaha who was an easy winner of a handicap hurdle at Leopardstown earlier in the month.
