SHAMROCK LANDS 15/8 WINNING NAP AND SUCCESSFUL PLACE LAY: It was a superb Saturday for SHAMROCK with TWO WINS FROM TWO BETS !!
It ended up being the perfect day yesterday.
Firstly, the nap went in – Icy Reply (NAP) WON 15/8 at Navan – and then the recommended place lay on Sole Power obliged (only just!) in the Sprint Cup at Haydock where Sole Power finished out of the paying places in fourth.
We’re back on the flat at Dundalk on Sunday with an eight race card getting underway at 1.50.
I thought Jim Bolger might have the answer to the opener with the unexposed Flight Risk. The colt was thought good enough to make his racecourse debut in Listed company last season and ran well too finishing fourth to Shining Emerald at the Curragh.
He returned to the Curragh for his only other start last month when a close up fourth to Scream Blue Murder in the Group 3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes.
With his age allowance here he looks a strong bet.
