SHAMROCK WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP (and only bet) on Saturday was ACCEPTED in the Listed Excelebration Tipperary Stakes who came home a winner at 5/4.
That went to plan on Saturday with Accepted (NAP) landing the nap at 5/4 and chased home by Simply A Star who I rated as the biggest danger.
Flat and jumps racing on Sunday at Fairyhouse and Sligo respectively.
The Listed Belgrave Stakes is the feature race at Fairyhouse and it presents the Aidan O’Brien trained Darwin a chance to get his season going after a couple of poor runs in better quality races over sprint distances.
He was close to be being pulled up on his seasonal reappearance at the Curragh when finishing last of the six runners. He subsequently finished 10th in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
There’s a formline through that race that makes you want to be on Sailors Swan today.
Sailors Swan was second to Due Diligence in a Listed race at Naas before Due Diligence went on to finish second in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes.
