Ruby Walsh takes over on top weight Baltimore Rock after intended rider Noel Fehily is reportedly “sore” after he suffered a fall at Warwick on Saturday.
The Neil Mulholland trained runner has been pitching in at the very top level and should find this easier.
He was beaten when falling in the Arkle at Cheltenham and a well beaten 35 lengths behind Douvan in the Ryanair Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival.
He finished fourth on his seasonal reappearance at Ludlow on December 21 which will have put him a lot straighter for this. He looks an interesting BETDAQ place option.
For the nap I’m giving Ballyoisin another chance after his fall here on New Year’s Day. He had built up a big advantage (but was starting to come back) and this shorter trip will help if his jumping stands up.
