FANCY FEAT AT GOWRAN PARK: SHAMROCK’s NAP on Sunday runs in the fillies maiden at Gowran Park (4.30pm).
I napped Jessica Harrington’s Supasundae in the BETDAQ Punchestown Hurdle on Friday and he ran well in second but was no match in the end for Buveur D’Air (who was DAQMAN’s SUPERNAP).
I’m sticking with the trainer for today’s flat card at Gowran Park.
Fancy Feat should be able to build on her excellent reappearance effort at Tipperary where she finished a length second to Hamariyna. She put nice distance between herself and the third placed home and I think the winner looks well above average.
This is a big field but it doesn’t look too competitive. The Aidan O’Brien trained runner Heaven On Earth was last of 14 on debut at Leopardstown – despite being well backed. She didn’t get the rub of the green in that race and further improvement looks guaranteed but Fancy Feat might be a bit more streetwise today.
