APPLE’S JADE LANDS NAPS HAT-TRICK: Apple’s Jade made it a hat-trick of winning NAPS for SHAMROCK when winning the Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown yesterday at evens.
Apple’s Jade romped to success in the Mares Champion Hurdle on the final day of the Punchestown Festival yesterday to make it a hat-trick of winning naps for SHAMROCK:
Sat: APPLES’S JADE (NAP) WON EVENS
Fri: MY TENT OR YOURS (PLACE NAP) 2nd 8/1
Thu: GREAT FIELD (NAP) WON 9/10
Back to the flat on Sunday at Gowran Park.
Feature race is the Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes at 3.35pm for which ten fillies go to post for the race on yielding to soft ground.
Somehow enjoys a fitness advantage on the majority of her rivals having finished a good second to Czabo in the Park Express Stakes (a Group 3) at Naas on her seasonal reappearance last month.
She’s better than Listed class – she finished fourth and fifth respectively in the Epsom and Irish Oaks and although well beaten on those runs romped to a seven length success in a Group 3 at the Curragh last season.
Her principal rivals today are all making their seasonal reappearances and Somehow very much rates the nap on the card.
