LEOPARDSTOWN SUNDAY NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Leopardstown on Sunday for his NAP running in the final race, the bumper at 5.10pm.
Leopardstown race today and tomorrow and it looks a tricky card for punters on Sunday.
In such circumstances I often favour playing as safe as I can and Homme D’un Soir looks the banker on the card for Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd in the bumper at 5.10pm.
He made a really pleasing winning debut at Gowran on similar testing ground and it would take something well above average to halt his progress – even under a penalty.
Homme D’un Soir isn’t entered for Cheltenham but I’m not too concerned about that given the acute embarrassment of riches the yard have.
In the absence of S’all Good Man, the danger looks to come from Blazing Khal who was well supported on his second start last month at Naas and whilst only 3rd wasn’t beating far and is clearly progressing.
