15/8 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK got off the mark for 2020 with a 15/8 WINNING NAP on Saturday with Escaria Ten at Cork.
A winning NAP with Escaria Ten who rallied close home to win the three mile maiden hurdle at Cork at a rewarding 15/8.
I’m sticking with the same trainer Gordon Elliott who has a big day ahead of him at Naas this afternoon with Envoi Allen bidding to extend his unbeaten record in the Grade 1 Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle at 2.20.
He’s taking a step-up in distance but remains progressive and has a whole host of Cheltenham options open to him, including the Champion Hurdle.
He won’t be much of a price though and for my NAP I’m going with Elliott’s Pencilfulloflead in the 2.50.
He won well at Down Royal on his bumper debut and there was no disgrace next time out when he was fourth at Navan in what looked a red hot bumper.
This looks much easier and he should have too much class for the Willie Mullins trained Thurles winner Asterion Forlonge.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Pencilfulloflead Ten (2.50 Naas)
2020 NAPS: 1/3 -0.12 (to a 1 unit level stake)
