NAAS NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Sunday’s Naas card for his NAP of the day which runs in the Grade 2 novice hurdle at 3.50pm.
Any Second Now looks the proverbial good thing on Sunday’s Naas card.
One thing is for sure though – he won’t be going off at 66/1 as he did when making a winning debut at Navan in December.
He was then pitched into Grade 2 level for his second start in the Moscow Flyer at Punchestown and won that well beating the odds-on Crack Mome.
The only doubt I can foresee is whether he will handle the expected deeper ground than he’s faced but it was soft at Punchestown so I can’t see that being a major worry.
His main rivals all have more experience – especially in the case of Joey Sasa who was beaten seventeen lengths when third in a Grade 2 at Leopardstown last time out. That was on good ground and he might be even more of a question mark on today’s ground than the selection.
