3:05 Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Salsabil Stakes (Fillies Listed) (3yo, Class 1, 1m 2f, 6 runners)
Aidan O’Brien has half of the six strong field entered here but the stable don’t appear to be firing on all cylinders yet. Queen Blossom and Glamorous Approach both have the benefit of a recent outing – they were first and fourth in the Group 3 Park Express Stakes at the Curragh over a mile and I expect that form to be confirmed over the longer two furlong trip this afternoon. Queen Blossom went off a 16/1 chance that day but there was no sign of a fluke and certainly no suggestion that she won’t relish the extra trip here.
4:15 Heritage Stakes (Listed) (4yo+, Class 1, 1m, 9 runners)
A good field and I’m again siding with the Dermot Weld trained Joailliere who I put up for a place in the Gladness Stakes where she finished third at 9/1. She should be suited by the extra furlong and is capable of further improvement having had just the four career races.
