SHAMROCK NAVAN NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Navan on Sunday for his nap running in the 2.55pm.
A Navan and Thurles double header on Sunday with plenty of Willie Mullins trained hotpots.
Samcro will be a warm order for the concluding ‘Future Champions’ Flat Race at Navan after an impressive winning debut at Punchestown when beating Arctic Light by nine and a half lengths. He had previously won a point to point and clearly looks a useful prospect.
Best bet for me is Effernock Lad in the handicap chase at 2.55. He’s in cracking form at present, winning at Naas in November and then a good effort last time out when chasing home I Knew Well at Fairyhouse last time out. He’s closely matched with Blackwater Bridge but should have his measure again.
Coolaghknock Glebe wasn’t beaten far when eighth in a competitive Punchestown handicap and looks the danger.
