SHAMROCK LANDS SATURDAY NAP FROM ONLY BET: Heading into the Cheltenham Festival his naps sequence is now 1111231 – 5 WINNING NAPS FROM THE LAST 7 !!!
What Lies Ahead was my NAP (WON EVENS) and only bet on Saturday and the mare held on well to win the opener at Gowran Park. It got a little desperate in the end as Snaidhm closed the gap to a neck.
The NAPS sequence is now 1111231 as we are about to head into the most important four days of the jumping calendar.
Naas race today and given the proximity of Cheltenham the featured Naas Directors Plate Novice Chase, a Grade 3 race, looks quite strong.
I’ve been through the race several times and given I can make a case for all five of the runners you won’t be surprised to learn that it’s a no bet race for me.
Best bet on the card looks to be the Mags Mullins trained Last Encounter in the closing bumper. This was one a huge eye catcher on debut when a 50/1 runner-up to Modem and clearly has plenty of ability.
