PUNCHESTOWN NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Punchestown on Sunday for his NAP in the feature Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at 2.40pm.
Andy Dufresne should regain winning ways in the feature Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) at Punchestown this afternoon.
The Gordon Elliott trained runner was sent off a 1/3 fav last time out to win the Grade 2 Navan Novice Hurdle but found Latest Exhibition too good. I’m definitely still in the camp of glass being half full rather than half empty and I think time will prove that was a good effort with the winner a decent horse.
The drop back in trip today should be a positive for Andy Dufresne whose biggest danger would appear to be Captain Guinness who was impressive on debut at Navan when winning by seven lengths, despite being sent off a 20/1 chance. He holds an entry for the Supreme and with normal improvement could give Andy Dufresne a proper race as he steps up in class today.
Joseph O’Brien’s Anything Will Do is on for a four-timer but this is by far his toughest assignment to date.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Andy Dufresne (2.40 Punchestown)
2020 NAPS: 2/7 -2.39 (to a 1 unit level stake)
