19 OUT OF 31 NAPS: SHAMROCK landed yet another winning nap with HARZAND (NAP) WON 4/6 in the Irish Derby. Harzand is now in the naps list twice after his 13/2 EPSOM SUCCESS !!! It’s now 19 WINNING NAPS FROM THE LAST 31.
HARZAND followed up his Epsom triumph at the Curragh yesterday – it needed plenty of courage in what developed into a really attritional battle with Idaho who deserves great credit too.
A little unlucky with the place recommendation on Red Verdon who was a short head away from taking third at 10/1.
It’s now 19 winning naps from the last 31.

Four Group races on today’s Curragh card with the feature being the Sea The Stars Pretty Polly Stakes at 4.20 for which five fillies go to post.
Not surprisingly, the Oaks winner Minding will start at prohibitive odds – she was turned over at 4/11 here at the Curragh in the Irish 1,000 Guineas but made amends in fine style at Epsom when winning the Oaks in fine style (in the end). She met all kinds of trouble in running so the performance can be significantly marked up.
For the nap I am turning to the Finlay Volvo International Stakes at 2.45 and Chemical Charge who made a pleasing first start for Ger Lyons when second to Portage here at the Curragh earlier this month. He should again confirm form with Sir Isaac Newton who was third that day and who has won since at Royal Ascot.
