NAPS HAT-TRICK BID: SHAMROCK bids for his third winning nap in a row after the success of Tom’s Article (WON 11/8) at Navan yesterday.
Don’t wish to tempt fate but could this be the start of a sequence ?? !!
Tom’s Article won really well at Navan yesterday at 11/8 so I’m now bidding for NAP number three today:
Fri: Afonso De Sousa (NAP) WON 4/5
Sat: Tom’s Article (NAP) WON 11/8
The Group 2 Juddmonte Beresford Stakes is the feature race at the Curragh today and all eyes will again be on Aidan O’Brien’s Ol’ Man River who justified favouritism here last month and is a short price to give O’Brien his fourth successive winner in this race.
He cost €2.85 million and the Montjeu colt has already attracted plenty of interest for next seasons classics.
It will be a huge surprise if he is beaten, especially now that main danger and stable companion Order Of St George is a non runner.
Tombelaine is most likely to chase him home but the O’Brien yard will have a good read on this one as he was beaten soundly by their John F Kennedy in the John Deere Stakes at Leopardstown recently.
