TIPPERARY GROUP 3 ACTION: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Group 3 Concorde Stakes at Tipperary this afternoon.
Away from the Group 1 fest at Longchamp this afternoon Tipperary stage their own Group race on an excellent mixed card.
The flat highlight is the Coolmore Stud Home Of Champions Concorde Stakes at 2.40pm – it’s a race that Dermot Weld has a great record in over the years and he could have the keys to today’s renewal with Imaging.
The three-year-old still seems to be on the upgrade and stayed one well to win a Listed race at Naas last time out in a driving finish.
This is definitely his ground and he should make the most of his age allowance and see off the challenge of Psychedelic Funk who was also a Naas winner last time out, and winner of this race 12 months ago.
