FAIRYHOUSE ON THE FLAT: Irish action switches back to the flat on Thursday with Fairyhouse staging a seven race card on good to firm ground with the first race at 5.50pm.

Yesterday’s NAP Moone Dancer could only finish third and a well beaten one at that in the bumper behind Wishmoor at Punchestown last night. Schoolboy error on my part for opposing Willie Mullins 🙁

There’s a mix of field sizes at Fairyhouse tonight on the good to firm ground.

Just four runners go to post for the six furlong sprint at 6.50pm but the BETDAQ market shows it’s competitive between three of them.

Golden Pearl races for the first time since making a winning course and distance debut in September but has been off the course since and may just need this – particularly as Mick Halford’s runners are not firing on all cylinders over the last couple of weeks.

The Kevin Prendergast trained Munshid was all out to win over five furlongs at Dundalk and has previously struggled over this six furlong trip.

That leaves Blood Moon who is proven both over trip and ground.

He was far from disgraced when sixth in Listed company at Navan last time out (beaten five lengths) and has a ton of class as he proved last season with several placed efforts in Group company.

A five star nap for me. I haven’t felt as confident for a long time – and 3.2 with BETDAQ at the time of writing a HUGE tempter.
