DUNDALK RETURN TO ACTION: The Clonmel card scheduled for today was called off yesterday but racing resumes in Ireland at Dundalk on Friday.
No Irish racing today with the card at Clonmel called off due to waterlogging.
Irish racing will resume tomorrow night at Dundalk.
On Saturday the ground is currently heavy at Gowran Park for their meeting and at Naas the ground is marginally better for their card on Sunday which features the Naas Directors Plate Novice Chase – a Grade 3 event.
On the flat, Gordon Lord Byron is expected to make his seasonal return in the Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes at the Curragh on April 3.
Trainer Tom Hogan was planning to run him at Dundalk but revealed: “He’s no longer eligible for the race at Dundalk as Home Of The Brave’s disqualification means he has a Group Three win. We will probably look to the Gladness Stakes with him now and he does have an option at Wolverhampton, but the Gladness might be for him.”
