NAP AND ONLY BET WINS AT 5/4: SHAMROCK landed a winning NAP from his only bet of the day on Wednesday – Steamboat Bill WON 5/4.
It was mighty hard work for Steamboat Bill in the opener at Down Royal yesterday despite him going off at 5/4 favourite.
The nap was landed (in the end) but he spent much of the race trading at far bigger prices than his SP on the in-play market on BETDAQ.
At the line he only had half a length to spare over Stowaway Shark.
Billy’s Hope should land the Kilsheelan Mares Maiden Hurdle for trainer Jessica Harrington at Clonmel (1.55pm) this afternoon.
The five-year-old mare has been a model of consistency and surely deserves a first win over hurdles having been beaten the minimum nose at Leopardstown last time out in what looked a better contest than today.
The Gordon Elliott trained Water Sprite looks the obvious danger after a good hurdling debut at Punchestown when third to The Brock Inn.
