Sizing Coal stayed on strongly to land the NAP yesterday – the fourth winning nap from the last six.
They race at Clonmel today and my best bet of the day runs in the Captain Christy Rated Novice Chase at 4.05pm.
New Kid In Town, trained by Wille Mullins, looks the answer here. He was a revelation at Kilbeggan last time out making all the running to win by 19 lengths. I think it could be a case of the ‘penny finally dropping’ with him and I expect him to follow up against mainly out of form rivals.
Duckweed has been well beaten in her last two starts at Kilbeggan but they were in better company and she looks the danger.
