CLONMEL NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP at Clonmel on Thursday runs in the concluding maiden hurdle.
Western Honour looks opposable in the concluding maiden hurdle at Clonmel this afternoon.
The six-year-old, trained by Gordon Elliott, has failed to win in six starts over hurdles – although seems to be getting closer in his two starts since joining the yard from James Moffatt (he made his first start for Paul Nicholls).
A better option might be the Willie Mullins trained Castlebawn West who was a bumper winner here on heavy ground and won with any amount in hand. It won’t be as testing today but at last some rain has arrived in Ireland and soft is back in the going description.
Spyglass Hill, trained by Henry de Bromhead, was third of six here last time but beaten a fair way. He will need to improve to feature here but that improvement can’t be discounted.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Castlebawn West (3.25 Clonmel)
