7/4 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK kept up his high strike rate of naps in 2020 with Farouk D’alene who won on Sunday at 7/4.
Farouk D’alene landed the nap on Sunday but we had some luck on our side as he looked held by Fire Attack until a late, late rally !!!
He maintains his unbeaten record and remains a smart prospect as that bumper is usually well above average and the first four home went into the race unbeaten.
Joseph O’Brien (who trains Fire Attack) can hopefully go one better in the final race at Clonmel on Thursday. His Deilginis looks worth waiting for.
The mare doesn’t look too harshly traded on her handicap debut after a nice win at Cork last time out. That was her best effort yet over fences and her jumping is getting better too.
This doesn’t look a deep contest and main danger could come from Fiveaftermidnight who is back at a realistic level having being set a tough task last time out.
