SHAMROCK AT LEOPARDSTOWN: SHAMROCK heads to Leopardstown for his NAP on Thursday which is currently trading at around 5.6 on BETDAQ.
A good evening card at Leopardstown to look forward to on Thursday.
For the NAP, I’m looking at the Leopardstown Summer Membership Handicap at 7.25.
It’s competitive but looks the perfect win and place race project with eight runners. And remember, on BETDAQ if there are any subsequent withdrawals then the original three places stand in the place market.
Mr Snagsby is my NAP on a win and place basis. The thinking is that it’s a profit if he wins and a break even if he is placed second or third and I think there is a very strong chance he will fill the frame.
Trained by Eddie Lynam, there was a lot to like about his course and distance second last time out where he seemed to show improved form for being tried on a firmer surface.
The handicapper has kept him on the same mark and with the claimer taking 7lb off the bottom weight he looks to have solid claims.
At the other end of the weights, Bribe The Bouncer looks to have a much tougher task off top weight. He scrambled home to win a three way photo at Listowel last time out and whilst the extra trip tonight will suit, the handicapper doesn’t appear to have taken many chances.
Hannah’s Magic is another danger but she is unproven on ground as quick as this. She ran well when third at the Curragh last time out but that came on soft ground.
