SHAMROCK NAPS HALTED AGAIN AFTER 4 IN-A-ROW: Shamrock heads to Gowran Park to get the NAPS back on track.
Sometimes you just know.
When Indevan won the previous race to the nap last night I thought we were in trouble.
Not that I was going to tip Indevan as the nap at any stage, but he was one of the more obvious ones on a really tricky card at Punchestown.
In the end, the chosen nap, Ourbeautfifuldream was a little disappointing in fourth.
I wish I’d napped Seabass – I would have well settled for a non runnner. On a day that my colleague DAQMAN continued his astonishing run of success this week I felt I let the side down. Anyway, fingers crossed today he gets to 5 on the spin, something which has eluded me in the current run.
My sequence now reads:
WWW22W6WWWW2LWWWWLWWF223WLFWWWWL

I’m taking a chance on a newcomer tonight.
In the 5.50 I want to be against Wexford Opera.
No offence intended but when I see a horse challenging for favouritism on BETDAQ with form figures of 244385282 the instinct has to be LAY.
John Oxx introduces an interesting newcomer with Flashy Approach, son of Derby winner New Approach.
The early market signs are positive and he could easily prove good enough on debut, despite the rather subdued form of the stable at present.
