NOW SEVEN NAPS IN A ROW: SHAMROCK landed his SEVENTH WINNING NAP IN A ROW yesterday. Can he make it 8 today?
It’s now SEVEN WINNING NAPS IN A ROW – but only just !! Wednesday’s NAP Fantasio D’alene was headed over a furlong out in the closing Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays INH Flat Race at Punchestown but rallied to win by a head and the NAPS sequence moves on:
Fri: CAMACHITA (NAP) WON 4/5
Thu: PEACEFUL (NAP) WON 8/11
Wed: DEGRAVES (NAP) WON 13/8
Sun: MAKE A CHALLENGE (NAP) WON 9/4
Mon: ARTHUR’S KINGDOM (NAP) WON 11/10
Tue: A WAVE OF THE SEA (NAP) WON 4/5
Wed: FANTASIO D’ALENE (NAP) WON 8/15
In an attempt for NAP number eight I’m going with Envol Pierji in the 1.30 at Tramore on Thursday.
Trained by Liz Doyle, the five-year-old was mixing it in good company at Fairyhouse when last seen out in April and ran a solid race in fourth. Lethal steps who finished third that day has won a couple of races since.
Just like the bumper yesterday, this doesn’t look the strongest contest by the usual standards of the course and Envol Pierji has by far the best form on offer.
The Willie Mullins trained Mountainmore looks the obvious danger having shown promise (and improved form each time) in three bumpers and makes her hurdling debut here.
Gordon Elliott’s Hereditary Rule made late progress on his hurdles debut at Roscommon and should improve for that effort.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
