CLONMEL NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Clonmel on Thursday evening in search of nap number 10 in the current sequence. His nap last night finished second.
Ring Chief could only finish second at Sligo last night ending the current sequence of naps – but hopefully only temporarily.
There’s jumping from Clonmel tonight with a seven race card on good ground getting underway at 5.40pm.
The first three races on the card are all maiden hurdles – and the best bet of the night looks to come in the St. Patrick’s Well Maiden Hurdle at 6.50pm.
I like the look here of Teoleena who won a couple of races on the flat on fast ground and basically the better the ground the better for her.
She has run two good races over jumps too. Notably at Leopardstown when a 66/1 close third to Golan Road in an 18 strong field and last time out at Wexford she went down by only half a length when second to Poetic Lord.
St Peter’s Square is the obvious danger but he has had a few chances and didn’t run his better races on the flat when the ground was good or better. His best effort came at Cork but the ground that day was heavy in places.
