SHAMROCK’S ONLY BET AND NAP ON WEDNESDAY WINS 9/10: Zafarqand was well backed at Sligo but plenty of odds-against available on BETDAQ earlier in the day.
The Group 3 Ballyroan Stakes is the feature race on tonight’s Leopardstown card and despite there being only four runners there is precious little to choose on BETDAQ between Ernest Hemingway, Royal Diamond and Scintillula.
All three were winners last time out and are some way clear of the remaining runner St Jude on official ratings.
DAQMAN has argued the case for the Jim Bolger trained who was impressive when making all the running to beat Mars last time out over the nine furlong trip here.
She is improving quickly and with her allowances could easily get into the mix.
Best bet on the card for me though is Murphy’s Delight in the following race at 7.20.
The David Wachman trained runner ran his best race to date last time out when third to Manalapan in a big field maiden at the Curragh and I make that the best form on offer.
We have to be wary of the Bolger trained Tonabrocky. He’s won this race for the last two seasons.
