LISTED ACTION AT LEOPARDSTOWN: SHAMROCK looks ahead to tonight’s card at Leopardstown where the Glencairn Stakes is the feature at 7.25pm.
The run of naps came to an end yesterday when Kidd Malibu was a three quarters of a length second to the well backed Flying Fairies at Fairyhouse.
They race at Leopardstown tonight and all eyes will be on Douglas Macarthur in the second race at 6.25pm.
Aidan O’Brien’s debutant cost 1.25 million guineas and has been very strong in the BETDAQ market so far today.
Feature race on the card is the Glencairn Stakes – a Listed race over a mile at 7.25pm.
I like Dermot Weld’s Foxtrot Charlie here. He made a winning debut at Killarney and then finished third to Beacon Rock in a Group 3 at the Curragh. It was soft that day and the faster ground tonight should suit.
He looks set for further improvement and even though three-year-olds don’t have a great record in this race I’m taking him to strike a blow for the youngsters as he looks to have plenty of further improvement in him.
