2/1 WINNING NAP: Shamrock landed a winning NAP with Poly Poloma (WON 2/1) at Dundalk last night who made virtually all of the running.
Nice to see the nap win last night. Sometimes exposed horses are better bets than lighter raced sorts who have question marks against their names and that was certainly the case last night. She was well backed in the end (4/1 forecast in Racing Post) and was trading at better odds on BETDAQ than the 2/1 SP throughout the day.
Limerick stage a late afternoon flat card getting underway at 4.35 and the nap on the card for me is Silver Lightening in the mile maiden at 5.40.
The grey ran a superb race on debut, chasing home the well-regarded Alpinist at the Curragh and was only betaen 1/2 length. Jim Bolger, trainer of Alpinist, is aiming high with that one with a classic campaign planned, so it would be really disappointing if Silver Lightening wasn’t good enough here.
Particularly as chief market rival. King Of The Romans, remains a maiden after six starts and is tried tonight with a visor on for the first time.
Diesel Ten improved to finish fourth at Cork last time and rates the biggest danger to the selection.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Silver Lightening (5.40 Limerick)
