NAP BOLTS HOME: SHAMROCK’S NAP and only bet on Wednesday Lope Y Fernandez couldn’t have been more impressive when winning the Listed Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown yesterday at an SP of 4/6.
As forecast, Lope Y Fernandez appreciated the step down in class to absolutely romp home in the Listed Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown. He travelled well and was soon clear winning by five and a half lengths and in doing so continue Aidan O’Brien’s excellent start to the new season.
Disappointment of the race was Ancient Spirit who I thought would be the danger but he could only finish fifth of eight.
Back to the jumps on Thursday for Limerick’s eight race card and the NAP could be Carmels Gift in the 4.50.
The stable do well here and he looks the sort to improve for his handicap debut. He showed ability here last time out before Christmas and is fairly strong in the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE today.
