SHAMROCK HEADS JUMPING TO THURLES: Their seven race card gets underway at 2.15 this afternoon.
The nap finished second yesterday, hopefully we can go one better today.
The field sizes are relatively small at Thurles today and I think the best bet on the card is the Aidan O’Brien trained Lone Star in the Devils Bit 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle at 3.15.
The three-year-old certainly seems to be facing an easier task than at Punchestown last time out when he finished third to Dai Bando and he is up against some very inexperienced rivals this afternoon.
King Schultz showed promise on his flat debut at Leopardstown but didn’t seem to build on that however is still rated as the biggest danger.
Pershing is a maiden after 10 starts on the flat and now switches to hurdles for a change of luck.
Later on the card the Dessie Hughes trained Tiger Trek should be up for winning the maiden at 3.50. He has been placed on all three starts this year and this looks his easiest task of them all.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Lone Star (3.15 Thurles)
NEXT BEST: Tiger Trek (3.50 Thurles)
