O’BRIEN TO STRIKE AT NEWMARKET: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the third day of the Craven meeting at Newmarket and anticipates an Irish trained winner.
As expected, Gifted Master proved too strong for Irish raider Waterloo Bridge at Newmarket yesterday.
Landofhopeandglory looks worthy of the nap status today in the £200,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Trophy.
The Aidan O’Brien trained runner was comfortably the best of these as a two-year-old and has a minimum of eight pounds in hand on his rivals on official ratings.
He didn’t finish out of the first two in four starts last season culminating in a close second to Moonlight Magic in the Listed Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown.
He’s a free running type who should be up with the pace throughout.
Godolphin’s Brave Hero broke the course record when winning on debut at Lingfield but hasn’t been seen out since so remains full of potential but O’Brien’s runner has the form in the book.
