CLONMEL ON THURSDAY: Racing resumes at Clonmel today after a three day break. SHAMROCK’s NAP of the day runs in the Clonmel Rated Hurdle at 12.45pm.

At last racing is back !! It’s only been three days without a meeting in Ireland but it feels longer.

Firstly, some good news from the Willie Mullins yard and that’s the injury to Annie Power doesn’t appear to be as bad as first feared.

She was withdrawn lame last Friday from the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday and the fear at the time was that she suffered a stress fracture.

However, the expectation now is that Annie Power is expected to run at the Festival again in March and Mullins is not ruling out a prep run.

In the Clonmel Rated Hurdle at 12.45 Noble Endeavor looks the most solid option.

It’s probably unwise to take the form of his second of four to Zaidpour in the Ladbrokes Ireland Lismullen Hurdle at Navan last time out too literally but it confirmed the fact that the Gordon Elliott trained runner is still very much on the upgrade.

Too Scoops is back over hurdles having finished second in a small field over fences last time out and a bigger danger might be Make A Track who was second here last time out and now steps back from 3m to 2m 4f today.
