SHAMROCK’S RAIDING MISSION TO PERTH REWARDED WITH 6/4 WINNING NAP: Formal Bid (NAP) WON 6/4 made it back to back winning naps for SHAMROCK following NOBLE INN (NAP) WON 5/4 on Tuesday.
Formal Bid only scrambled home by a neck at Perth yesterday but that was more than good enough to land the second winning nap of the week.
Again, there is no Irish racing today so we’ll again rely on Formal Bid’s trainer Gordon Elliott.
Formal Bid himself is actually due to race again at the track today in the 5.05 but having made a nice profit with him yesterday I don’t want to give it back today in what looks a tougher race.
Elliott’s best chance today may come with Castletown Bridge in the opener at 2.45.
You have to discount his poor run at Tipperary last time and believe on softer ground he is a better horse. He’s fairly solid in the BETDAQ market and has Jason Maguire onboard.
